About Jim Mackinga

Jim Mackinga is a man who practices what he preaches. As a 31-year pioneering pastor, planting two churches in Redondo Beach and Lomita, California, Jim has been committed to helping “get” the Bible into the lives of regular guys and gals from the beginning: helping Christians become “self feeders” from God’s Word.

Coming to Christ as a 22-year-old, Jim met and married his wife, Sandy, and jumped into youth and singles ministry, reaching out to young people in Long Beach and San Jose. As a highly relational guy, Jim inspired and discipled young people through his example and inspirational teaching. He has always aimed at getting the Bible into each person’s life, modeling and leading Believers to build friendships with unchurched people and introduce them to Christ.
